About Me

Meet Me

Product-minded UX/UI designer who takes products that are still at an early stage and turns them into coherent systems that hold together as a whole rather than as a set of separate screens. Over the course of two years, I designed Vibetype (a product brand of maevsi UG), which is a mobile event platform, at a German startup, and in doing that I built its first design system from scratch and redesigned its core flows end to end, working the whole time alongside the engineers rather than apart from them. My background spans both information-systems engineering and design, and given all of that, what I care about most is not really the surface of an interface but rather the structure that sits underneath it, meaning navigation that actually holds up when it is put under pressure, components that scale as the product grows rather than breaking, and design decisions that manage to survive contact with real constraints.

My Path

Internship

UI Designer

maevsi UG – Vibetype, event-tech startup (EXIST-funded), Kassel · remote · full-time

September 2025 – February 2026
  • Built Vibetype's first design system from scratch: meaning color, typography, icons and a reusable set of components – buttons, fields, nav bars, states and variants, all of them sitting on one shared spacing scale, and in doing that I replaced what had been a lot of scattered assets with one single visual language that the whole product could draw on.

  • Structured design system as a shared Figma foundation that was engineered from the start for direct handoff to the developers, so that the tokens and the components could be integrated straight into the build rather than rebuilt again on the other side, which is the thing that cut down both the inconsistency and the friction that tends to come with handoff.

  • Redesigned the core mobile flows end to end, meaning dashboard, event creation, invitations, notifications and vouchers, and alongside that I took navigation that until then had run into dead ends and reworked it into a clearer hierarchy, which is what brought the cognitive load down for the user.

  • Drove design the whole way through implementation and not just as far as the handoff, in the sense that I ran reviews, clarified to the engineers how the components were actually meant to behave, and tied the Figma notes back to the live tickets, so that the UI that finally shipped stayed on-spec rather than drifting away from what had been designed.

UI Designer

maevsi UG – early-stage product, Kassel · remote · part-time

April 2024 – August 2025
  • Joined at a point when there was not yet any design system in place, and from there I improved the UX and UI across the core areas of the product during a stretch of rapid feature growth, and in the way that I did that, I kept both the usability and the overall coherence intact even as the product kept expanding rather than letting them slip as more got added.

  • Mapped and then restructured the early navigation and the early flows, and in doing that I surfaced the inconsistencies that later on were the very things that justified the centralized design system, and that not only justified it but also, more importantly, shaped what it ended up becoming.

  • Partnered with the founders in order to line the interface decisions up with the product strategy rather than letting them drift apart, and alongside that I kept the branding consistent the whole way across the product, marketing and merchandise, so that it read as one thing rather than three separate ones.
